ABOUT LYMPHEDEMA: Lymphedema is a chronic condition characterized by swelling in one or more body parts, often in the arms or legs. This swelling occurs when the lymphatic system is damaged or blocked, preventing lymph fluid from draining properly. Various factors, including surgery, radiation therapy, infections, or congenital conditions, can cause lymphedema.
